Another Hat?!
My latest, and most favorite hat creation! I made it for my friends daughter, as per her request. This is the second time I have made something by request, and I am wondering if I should start making things on a bigger scale and sell them? I would love any feedback and/or suggestions from my friends and and family. Click on my "Crochet" tab at the top to see more of my completed projects. Thanks everyone!

Super Mario
At last I have finished Mario! Alex has been anxiously awaiting its completion, and he is absolutely thrilled!! This was a very labor intensive project, but well worth the effort (although I can't say I will ever do it again). Every body part (with exception for the eyes and the letter M on the hat) was individually crocheted, stuffed and then stitched together. And let me tell you, when it comes to crochet, small does not equivocate to fast! All and all I am very pleased with out it turned out, grateful to be done, and thankful to know that Mario will be throughly loved and played with.

Crochet (Part 2)
I have a variety of patterns for baby shoes, but so far I have only experimented with three styles. I have officially completed one pair of shoes for each of those three styles, and I have then given them away as presents. Unfortunately, I didn't have the foresight to take pictures of the completed shoes before giving them away. I am now trying to go back and get pictures, and so far these are the only ones I have pictures for. All of the styles are cute, but these are my favorite. I even made a hat to match. Adorable shoes made for adorable baby feet!
I finally took a pictures of the baby blanket I made for Emily. It was my very first crochet project. You can probably tell from the picture that I had a bit of a problem with matching yarn colors. Lesson learned: for any particular project, buy all your yarn up front to ensure you have the same dye lot!

Crochet...not just for Grandmas anymore! (Part 1)
I wanted to start documenting all the different crochet projects that I have done. It has been a really fun hobby, and there are so many patterns and ideas out there. Hope you enjoy!
This dress took forever to make, but it was a great first birthday present! (Although it's a bit warm)
This is my favorite hat to make. It's so modern and stylish!
Alex loves this hat. He wore it when he dressed up as a snowboarder for school.
These are two different styles of head wraps. The head wrap thing was very "in" this past winter. I made the pink one first based on a pattern (the only one I could find at the time). For the blue one I made up the pattern myself...it was a bit experimental, and it is still not quite finished...I was suppose to have added an outer edge in a different color. But you get the idea.
These two were especially fun to make. The one on the left is a bag. You can make various sizes, but I chose to make the smallest size. It makes a perfect purse/scripture bag for Katie. The other is an bunny rabbit in the "amigurumi" style. It's a great size for Emily...she loves to suck on the long ears!

My Newest Hobby
Last fall a good friend and neighbor of mine taught me how to crochet. My first project was a baby blanket, however, since then I have branched out and made all sorts of things. These pictures are of the very first hat that I crocheted. The kids were all excited to try it on and pose for a picture.
