Masterpiece Movies (BBC)

I am a BIG fan of Masterpiece Theater (on PBS) and other various BBC movie productions.  In the last few years PBS has aired some GREAT movie reproductions in their Masterpiece Classic series (January to March/April).  After watching some of these movies, I started searching for more book based movies from these same authors…some of which I liked, and some which I didn’t.  So, I decided to compile a list of my absolute favorites to share with all my family and friends (in case you want to watch them too).  Some of them have multiple versions, so I included links to the specific reproductions that I like.  Happy watching!

Lark Rise to Candleford

I wanted to make a special plug for Lark Rise to Candleford (Season 2, Season 3).  I LOVE IT!  And I promise you’ll love it too.  Another one of my PBS favs!  They just completed their third season, and I’m hoping they create a fourth.  You can always get the previous seasons from your local library or Netflix…so no worries about being behind or starting mid-series.  I highly recommend trying this series.  If you are a Pride & Prejudice fan, you are going to love this too!
